Travelling to North Korea on a South Korea passport, you need a visa, arranged before you travel.

North Korea does not admit tourists traveling on South Korean passports; the two governments have no diplomatic relations and Pyongyang does not issue this passport a visa for ordinary travel.

The restriction runs both ways. South Korea's own National Security Act separately makes unauthorized travel to or contact with the North a criminal matter without prior government approval, so this is not simply a case of North Korea saying no. A South Korean national holding a second nationality could look into the process for that other passport, but a South Korean passport itself is not usable for this trip.
