Travelling to North Korea on a Brazil passport, you need a visa, arranged before you travel.

There is no direct path to a North Korean visa outside a licensed tour. The company you book with submits the group's details together, and North Korean authorities approve or deny the whole party at once.

Beijing is the usual staging point, with onward travel to Pyongyang by air or the twice-weekly train. Backpacking or solo sightseeing inside the country is not an option once the group visa is issued.
