Travelling to North Korea on a Mexico passport, you need a visa, arranged before you travel.

You cannot apply for a North Korean visa on your own. The paperwork runs through the tour operator's contact with North Korean authorities rather than any consulate you would visit yourself.

Tours generally start in Beijing, from where the group travels on together into North Korea. There is no route around the group structure, whatever the reason for the trip.
