Travelling to North Korea on a Saudi Arabia passport, you need a visa, arranged before you travel.

You cannot apply for a North Korean visa on your own. The company you book with submits the group's details together, and North Korean authorities approve or deny the whole party at once.

Beijing is the usual staging point, with onward travel to Pyongyang by air or the twice-weekly train. There is no route around the group structure, whatever the reason for the trip.
