Travelling to Iraq on a Pakistan passport, you need an e-visa, applied for online before you travel.

Iraq's e-visa system replaced the old embassy-visit route for most nationalities. If your trip routes through Erbil (EBL) in the Kurdistan Region rather than Baghdad (BGW), you are dealing with a different, regionally issued e-visa, not the federal one.

Have the emailed approval on hand when you arrive; officers check it at passport control. This is a before-you-fly step, not something arranged at the airport.
