Travelling to Iraq on a China passport, you need an e-visa, applied for online before you travel.

You will handle this entirely online, through Iraq's e-visa portal. One thing worth knowing: this e-visa covers federal Iraq, meaning Baghdad (BGW) or Basra (BSR). If you are flying into Erbil (EBL) or Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan Region instead, that is a separate e-visa issued by the regional government, not the federal one.

Have the emailed approval on hand when you arrive; officers check it at passport control. Apply with enough lead time before your flight rather than counting on a same-day approval.
